Google Earth for Ubuntu using Aptitude

sudo wget http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/gutsy.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list

Then type

sudo aptitude update this will give a message relating to a key so type the following

gpg –keyserver subkeys.pgp.net –recv KeyGoesHere(egF120156012B83718)

gpg –export –armor KeyGoesHere(egF120156012B83718) | sudo apt-key add –

type

sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude install googleearth

to start the application type googleearth at the command prompt
